INSTRUCTORS

 

Thomas B. Sing

Mr. Sing is certified and licensed as a Master Certified Fire Investigator
& Master Peace Officer. He has testified as an expert witness in both
State District and Federal District Court regarding fire cause determination and
as a criminal investigator in related offenses, and was instrumental in the development
of two state investigative, rapid response task forces; the Major Fire Investigation
Response Team & the Explosion Investigation Task Force of the
Texas State Fire Marshal’s Office, Fire & Arson Investigation Division where he
served as an original team member & team leader on both. Mr. Sing’s experience
as lead investigator has encompassed a wide range of complexity including:
vehicle fires, marine vessel fires, residential fires, single/multiple family
dwellings, apartment complex fires, and natural gas & liquid petroleum gas explosions
at commercial/industrial plant installations and include both civilian and
fire service personnel loss of life investigations with several federal agencies including
the FBI, ATF, Naval Investigation Service, and the U.S. Secret Service.
 

Cory W. Martin

 Mr. Martin is currently a partner/senior fire analyst-investigator
for Apex, a fire investigative firm located in League City, Texas as well as an Arson
Investigator and Deputy Fire Marshal in Nassau Bay, Texas. He has been
qualified by the courts as an expert in analyzing fire incidents, Investigating
fires, performing fire inspections, handling and training fire canines, and instructing
fire training. His canine certifications include: Detection Canine Handler, Detection
Canine Trainer, and Detection Canine Supervisor/Instructor.
 

Darle McClintock

 Mr. McClintock is the principal owner of Fire Dogs of Texas, a
company specializing in the use of canines to locate ignitable liquid. He is currently
commissioned as a Peace Officer with the Comal County Sheriff's Office
where he serves as a Fire/Arson Investigator and Canine Handler. He has over
28 years experience serving as a firefighter, fire inspector, fire/arson investigator
and canine handler. He is a 21 year veteran of the Texas State Fire Marshal's
Office (SFMO) where he served as the Director of Field Operations, the Director
of Fire/Life Safety Inspections Division and as the Canine Unit Chief.
